- His brother Claude Lancaster Ravenscroft, like Guy, also served in the 18th Battalion of The King's Liverpool Regiment, also reaching the rank of Captain. He was mentioned in Despatches but was seriously wounded and was granted a Silver War Badge. He survived the war and died 26th December 1960 in Essex aged 76.
